Meet Melanie

I grew up in small town Mascoutah, IL, just east of St. Louis, MO where five generations of my family have lived/currently lives. My childhood was spent outdoors playing, gardening, visiting with the elderly, doing crafts, hanging with family and my favorite hobby: mowing the grass (find out why I drove a lawnmower to CHURCH in another post). My teaching background in research, biology and math often leads me outdoors to explore. I DIG hands on activities, spending time with my four kids and husband and currently reside in the not-so-small-town of Las Vegas, NV.
